cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version File "dd10shrd.dll", error 126

I continue to received the error message above " cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version File "dd10shrd.dll", error 126" when I attempt to run Dragon 11.
I went to their website seeking help. I found their solution which is to make sure that the DLL is in the following places:

c:\Windows\system32 or c:\Windows or the root directory of the affected application

I found the file in the location stated above. I have used their copy of the file to replace the it in the folders stated. I reboot. Still I continue to receive the error message above.

When I attempt to uninstall Dragon 11 the procedure is halted displaying the error message above.

I had a lot of issues with Dragon Naturally speaking  when installing Guile3D virtual assistant on a client laptop,
as this virtual assistant had an inbuilt version of Dragon Naturally Speaking and was causing some form of conflict
I resolved it by installing the Dragon SDK Client ,
Dragon Naturally SDKhttp://www.nuance.com/for-developers/dragon/client-sdk/index.htm

Please try system restore to before you attempted to install Dragon Naturally.

What I discovered is Windows Installer keeps a record for each software package it installs on a computer. Sometimes that Windows installer record becomes corrupt making it impossible to repair or delete the software.

To remove that Windows installer record there is a free software package that enables you to do just that it is called Windows Install Clean Up http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.shtml

"After a quick installation process, you encounter a standard window where a list of installed software is displayed. You are now free to remove anything. A piece of advice is to handle with care, because you may need to reinstall some or  ALL of the applications that rely on Windows Installer.

Once you hit the ‘Remove’ button, the changes are permanent, so carefully decide if this is the solution for you. Keep in mind that consequences are serious and it should be used with the utmost caution."

After I removed the software from the list I was able to successfully install and now used the software once again.
