Alternative Backup Software -> Symantec Backup Exec
Hello everybody,
we are currently using Symantec Backup Exec 2012 on a Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Standard with a Tandberg LTO3 Drive.
As we just changed making our backups for virtual machines with Veeam instead of Backup Exec, we now also want to get away from Backup Exec for backing up our few remaining physical Windows servers.
Maybe there is an alternative cheaper (better free) solution which is also able to save SMB- and NFS-shares and saves the backup data regularly on an LTO-media.
Is anyone able to recommend a good solution or give a piece of advice?
Thanks and regards
David

You could probably do that with Acronis if you're looking to not spend a fortune on back ups.
