Hello,

I want to connect to an application which runs on IBM DB2 v9.5 fix pack 3 on AIX.  I am out on the IBM site but don't know which client to download and install.

I need a driver which will allow me to connect remotely to the DB; example create Crystal reports or run Ad Hoc SQL statements from various workstations (XP, Win32, and Win64bit PCs).

Your input will be most appreciated

You should be able to use JDBC.

There are JDBC drivers for DB2 here:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21363866

There are numerous clients for issuing ad hoc SQL statements that will work with JDBC drivers, here one:
http://www.sql-workbench.net/

& This reference suggests you can use JDBC with Crystal:

if pursuing SQL Workbench here's the reference for JDBC setuo:
http://www.sql-workbench.net/manual/jdbc-setup.html#configure-drivers

and it in turn references this:

IBM DB2      com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
db2jcc4.jar
