Hello,

I am protecting a worksheet that also has 7 pivot filters in it. When I protect the sheet, is it possible to protect / lock the pivot filters too? so that users cant change the filters?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, protecting the PivotTable (Report) Filters is one of the default options when protecting a worksheet.

You have to specifically enable the use of "PivotTable reports" when the protection is applied in order to allow the use of the Filters when the worksheet is protected.

The default options are as follows ([x] indicates selected/applied; [ ] indicates not selected/not applied):

---
[x] Select locked cells
[x] Select unlocked cells
[ ] Format cells
[ ] Format rows
[ ] Insert columns
[ ] Insert rows
[ ] Insert hyperlinks
[ ] Delete columns
[ ] Delete rows
[ ] Sort
[ ] Use AutoFilter
[ ] Use PivotTable reports*
[ ] Edit objects
[ ] Edit scenarios
---

* Change this tickbox from [ ] to [x] (selected/ticked) in order to enable the use of the PivotTable filters.

BFN,

fp.
