I have one user that needs to connect to our network using an Ipad.  I have tried to get Cisco any connect working.  It connected but then said there was no license.  Is there a way to connect the ipad with a different config or do I need a license.  ASA 5505 is version 8.3

Although you will have 2 anyconnect licenses out of the box with a 5505, you will still need anyconnect for mobile licensing to make this work. The only other option would be to configure the cisco ipsec vpn client built into the ipad (if available). On a relatively good note, the cost for anyconnect licensing is $200 or less for the 5505, so it might not be a bad investment to get the license.
