I am getting the following error when I tried to compile the project

Cannot import the following key file: . The key file may be password protected. To correct this, try to import the certificate again or import the certificate manually into the current user’s personal certificate store.

I have downloaded the sample project from the following link

http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsdesktop/How-To-Create-Webcam-bbdcc90f

and convert this project to vs2012.

Ah, if it's just a sample project, then just turn the key signing off. Right click the project from within Solution Explorer, and select "Properties". Once the properites page opens, go to the "Signing" tab. Uncheck the "Sign the ClickOnce manifests" checkbox.
