CD/DVD Drive error creating a new VM in Hyper-V

I'm having a problem creating a new VM with a CD/DVD drive. I'm able to create the new VM, but with the physical DVD drive of the host configured as IDE Controller 1 in the VM, it fails to start with the following error:

DDriveError.doc

If the DVD drive is removed, the VM starts no problem, but I need the DVD drive to install the OS.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Is the DVD drive used by any other machine at the time? For example your physical machine?

It is part of the Physical host, but it isn't being accessed by the host at the time.

Resolved the issue. I added the host to our SCE server and was able to complete the install successfully using the SCVMM library to load the OS. It's not a resolution to the error messsage, but it resolved my problem.
