change ip conference station 7936 protocol to SIP

Hello Experts:

Overview: unusable ip 7936 because cannot connect it to my small home office network. I have not had POTS account in about a year. So, purchasing used equipment to configure and run conf station is impractical and moot.

I want to use this conf station with voip.ms, my current telephony service for other voip phones. But, I was told the conf station must run SIP protocol.

Question: Is there a way to change the protocol from SCCP to SIP? If not, I am open to suggestions.

Please help.

No way to make it run SIP. There is no SIP Code for it. Maybe running the SCCP driver built into Asterisk will allow you to use it with its most basic functionality.

Thank you for your reply to my question.

I have explored possibilities with a Digium rep. She told me that they cannot help me so long as I am running SCCP.

I guess that's it, then. I wanted one of these conference stations for years, just not meant to be. I will post it on eBay and be done with it.

Thanks again for your reply.
