QuickBooks Pro 2010

I just upgraded the admin pc that is hosting QB pro 2010 for multi user mode.  It went from windows home premium to windows 8 pro.  Now the other user that needs to access the company file can't even though multi user mode is turned on on the admin pc hosting the file.

All files are shared and the user can access the company file when the admin is not logged in to QB.

Any ideas?

Thanks

QuickBooks V2010 is too old for Windows 8. The farthest back version I used on Windows 8 was QB V2013. Now with Windows 8.1, the farthest back version is V2014.  You might consider upgrading QuickBooks.

On the Admin PC in QuickBooks, set up a test user and then ask the QB to log on as a test user. Can the other users now log on?

If no, the file appears to have busied out on the Windows 8 machine and that may be because of QuickBooks.

@Sapeur - Thank you. I have QB V2014 running on Windows 8.1 and it works fine. I am glad it is working for you as well.
