Hi my friend called me about her phone to see if I can try to locate any of her information, because she said yesterday she downloaded an app called xdownloader and she did not like it so she tried to remove it but she said it kept coming back and she can not delete it. Then she noticed her contacts and all of her notes were missing.

I googled it and can not find anything that says this is a common problem with that app, so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas? She said she upgraded to ios 7 a few weeks ago with no problems.

So does anyone have any idea of how she can get her contacts and notes back? She backed up her data a few weeks ago when she upgraded to ios 7 but she has new notes and a few new contacts that she added since then so if she restores to that point it will not include the new data since a few weeks ago. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas?

If she upgraded to iOS7 a few weeks ago, then there is a backup of her phone in iTunes on the computer that she used to upgrade. You can plug her phone into that computer again, launch iTunes and do a restore from backup on the device. I would recommend backing up pictures on the iPhone before the restore as its going to be reset to the state it was in after the ios7 update. That should include contacts and notes.
