Hi,
I have a Sonicwall gateway installed in my network and YouTube is blocked as per our company policy. Boss is asking if we can open a specific channel instead of the whole Youtube for users.

Please advise

Thank you in advance,

Hi mob_dream,

To my knowledge, no there isn't a way to do this because Content Filtering is domain based with built in wildcarding and therefore covers video.youtube.com or youtube.com/channel_name.

However, you can segment by User or IP and thereby allow access to specific user or group of users and still enforce blocking for the rest of the users. You can also set schedules too in order to limit activity say from 12-1 (lunch) allow access to youtube.com but therebefore and after it will be blocked.

Hope that helps!
