USSD services

Hi Guys, i need an expert advice but does not know which category it falls.

i am about to do an online business but does not want to use visa, pay pal or any form of such payment modes.

what i want to do is to subscribe to a USSD service from a telco.

1) a short code (provided by telco) will be dialed on clients mobile phones
2) a ticket ID will be generated by the USSD application to clients mobile phone - this is where deductions will be made from clients phone.

3) this generated ticket will be entered on my website before services will be rendered.

4) upon entering the ticket ID, it has to be verified. if verification is correct, services will be given else services will be denied.

questions//
1) is it posible

2) if yes, how does my webserver do the verification with the telco's USSD application.

3) what software do i need on my website to do this verification with the telco's USSD.

4) Do i need anyapplication at the service providers end to be generating this code and at the same time communicating with my webserver.

please i need an expert advice. Thanks.

There are some ways to do backend payment systems using mobile phones, but the service isn't typically provided by the telco companies.  The payment system service providers will partner with various telcos.

There are some things with SMS / mobile payment systems like Boku or Zong, which would probably work for you.

You can do a Google search for SMS payment systems and you should come back with some options. Most of these don't work in exactly the way you described, at least not the major ones I've seen in production, but they're similar enough you can probably work out the correct processes for your application.
