Win 7 Pro freeze at logon page, can remote desktop in okay.
Win 7 Pro freeze at logon page, can remote desktop in okay. Tried to safe boot (no go) and scanned w/(ugh) Norton 360(result negative) No sure where to go from here

Do you have the ability of PS2 Mouse and Keyboard? Perhaps the USB drivers have become corrupted.
Also, Last Known Good Configuration is always an option, and you could System Restore to a couple of days ago. Either way, it sounds like either an infection (Which you are checking for), or a driver issue. If you can remote in, you should be able to check Device Manager and check for any issues.
I would also recommend scanning with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware if you believe it is infection.

I have logged on remotely and was able to mouse and kbd around. I built another profile and called it test to examine another issue.
I can not remote desktop in anymore. Unable to massage the os from a mapped drive lan laptop ....kinda stuck...this is in conjunction with my other open question (same machine): Win 7 PRo USB NO Op.
