Regarding last post...no keyboard or mouse action. Tab to pw field and no keyboard input will happen.

Do you have the ability of PS2 Mouse and Keyboard?  Perhaps the USB drivers have become corrupted.

Also, Last Known Good Configuration is always an option, and you could System Restore to a couple of days ago.  Either way, it sounds like either an infection (Which you are checking for), or a driver issue.  If you can remote in, you should be able to check Device Manager and check for any issues.

I would also recommend scanning with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware if you believe it is infection.

I have logged on remotely and was able to mouse and kbd around.  I built another profile and called it test to examine another issue.

I can not remote desktop in anymore.  Unable to massage the os from a mapped drive lan laptop ....kinda stuck...this is in conjunction with my other open question (same machine):  Win 7 PRo USB NO Op.

Tried scanning for malware and known good hardware. I find it is easier to reclaim a fresh image from an Acronis TIB file.   Mouse ops restored

Remote desktop unsuccessful cause wrong port put into address statement

Job done.

Thanks everybody
