I am having severe difficulties installing SCCM 2012 client on 2003 Server Platform. I discovered that BITS 2.5 is a requisite for 2003 server so I download and installed it on each server however I am still getting the attached error (please see the screen shot attachment of the error) when I attempt to install the SCCM 2012 client. Can someone shed some light in this?

Thanks in advance.

Does it even happen on fresh machines?

Anyway here is an old article (SMS related) but it may still provide some pointers

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/267889

It does not say bits but the error could be related.
