Are you sure you want to completely remove pidgin and all of its components?

I did find a possible work-around solution that could work for you.

Q: Running 'pidgin-otr-3.2.1-1.exe /S' gives dialogs saying 'pidgin-otr was
already found on your system and will first be uninstalled' and 'Are you
sure you want to completely remove pidgin-otr 3.2.0-1 and all of its
components?'.

If I instead do an uninstall of 3.2.0-1 first, using
'pidgin-otr-uninst.exe /S', then I still get 'Are you sure you want to
completely remove pidgin-otr 3.2.0-1 and all of its components?'.

How do I perform a silent uninstall or upgrade please?

A #1: The problem with the (not working) silent uninstall was fixed in August, 2012.
But if people currently have 3.2.0 (with the old nsis script), the 3.2.0
uninstaller isn't silent.

A #2: However, I've managed to rollout a silent upgrade from 3.2.0-1 to
3.2.1-2 by first doing this:

reg delete
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\pidgin-otr

so that 3.2.1-2's installer doesn't recognise that a prior version is
installed and just completes its installation, silently.
