Bounce backs after transitioning users over to new Exchange....and even after adding X500 address

hi guys,

After transitioning a user from an old Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2010, some people using the auto complete in their outlook are selecting this persons name and getting a :

IMCEAEX-_O=FC_ou=FC_cn=Recipients_cn=WilliamsA@contoso.com
#550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound; not found ##

Now, prior to this I went in to the Attribute Editor on our new AD environment and added the following as an X500:

/o=FC/ou=FC/cn=Recipients/cn=WilliamsA

Yet, some people are still getting bouncebacks. Funnily enough, I'm on the same Exchange environment and I'm not getting any bounce backs.

However, what I was going to ask was whether I could somehow find the old Legacy Exchange details and add it as an X500? If I go to the attribute editor for this WilliamsA person, I can see that there's a 'LegacyExchangeDN' value. Should I copy and then insert this as an X500 address?

Thanks
Yash

Hi,

Yes, LegacyDN value should be added as X500 into the new domain recipient.

I did and still getting a bounce back from that this particular user.

They get:

 IMCEAEX-_O=FC_ou=FC_cn=Recipients_cn=WilliamsA@contoso.com

And I've even put in two X500 addresses, seeing as bouncebacks were still occurring with the first line entered (which was the LegacyExchange DN from the old server). And the last line is the value I found in the Attribute Editor in the LegacyExchangeDN on the new Exchange. I copied that and added it also as an X500. Still not working

x500:/0=FC/OU=FC/cn=Recipients/cn=WilliamsA
x500:/o=FC/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=Arnold Williamsaea

Any ideas?

Thanks

Removed all x500's. Added the line x500:/0=FC/OU=FC/cn=Recipients/cn=WilliamsA
again and it worked.
