Hi experts

Further to a problem a while ago, the content of my csv files has had to change and I was hoping that someone could help me reconfigure the graphical output from these csv files.  The final output of my previous question, Previous question output

I attach a csv file which includes a sample of the new outputs

Hello,

I noticed that the new survey starts at Column DV and the format in Row 2 for this new survey is different from the previous

Previous is every 4 we get a question with measure and hyphen "-" separate question from the measure.
New one starts at Column DV number of measure is variable and we do not have a question only the topic (row1) is the question and there is no hyphen only a measure in row2

To be able to design something that would encompass the 2 (being totally different) I need a confirmation at least that previous will end at Col DU and new one will always start at col DV and format for previous will remain unchanged and format of new one will remain unchanged

... at least for now to be able to provide you with a solution..

Hi andymacf,

I fixed for you the 2 options
Import Data
You can choose between xls or csv to import and it import successfully the new format.

Create Output
It will import all data imported in sheet Import based on the previous assumption I posted which is Col DU (on the raw data) is the last column of old survey and Col DV is the first Col of new survey.

Try the attached file and let me know your comments.

Hi gowflow

Been a busy morning, so not been able to look at this until now.  Unfortunately, the first column of the new items is not always the same as different surveys have differing amounts of questions thus the ending column of the old part will not always be DU, meaning that the start column of the new items will also change.

regards
Andy

Ok do you at least know what is the first item label of the new survey ??
I need to know 2 things

1) Will always you have old survey then new survey
2) if answer to 1 is yes then need anything that can tell me what is the start of new survey like is it the same first question or a column or. .. ???

1. Yes
2. The first question in the new part will always be:
Do you have a disability: (as defined under the Disability Discrimination Act)

The answer being either 'Yes' or 'No'

Thanks

Hi gowflow

Thank you, I have just had a look at the file, this separates out the data nicely although there seems to be something amiss with the first 'new' question, it is totalling correctly on 'Import' but these totals are not showing correctly on 'Output'.

Would you also be able to display the 'new' data graphically?

Thanks again

You are correct for the totals they have been corrected in this version.
Pls try it out and let me know.

As far as the graph, I think this should be object of a new question altogether as graphs when data is not identical ... ??? will need to look at this.
