Exchange Server HT-CAS Load Balancing on VMware

Hi People,

My goal is to create one Virtual IP where the email flow from the internet can still be working when one of the Exchange Server is rebooted during the Patching process.

Do I need to do anything else on the Cisco network switch when I implement the WNLB (load balancing IGMP Multi cast) of 2x Exchange Server Hub Transport & Client Access Server 2007 ?

The OS is Windows Server 2008 and the Hypervisor is VMware vSphere ESXi 4.1

Thanks in advance.

if you will use multicast nothing is needed, we have this setup running nice.

ok, so in this case just provision the VM normally and then set the Cluster on the Windows OS level without having to worry about any other layer ?

is this the recommended way to achieve Highly available HT-CAS configuration ?
