Hello, I have a win7 64 bit, using Acrobat XI Standard. I am trying to view pdf files from windows explorer. I am able to get a preview of jpg and other formats just not pdf. I have set acrobat to be default previewer from the preferences page in adobe. I uninstalled reader XI. Changed view in explorer to large icons still will not show preview of pdf files. Have to open each one. Any help you may offer would be great!

Hello si-support
Maybe you just need to enable the preview
I'll post a couple of screenshots of mine
first open your folder then go to Organise
previw layoutdrag the blue line out to enlarge previewPreview enabled on the rightIf it is a large PDF give it a moment to load okay, or just open it then close it the preview should be there.
Running a disc cleanup once a week is a good idea to speed up these thumbnails previews but they do create a large amount of windows temp files which can slow the process, I have my disc cleanup tool pinned to my taskbar
