Hi There

I am having problems installing the latest version of Java on a Win 7 pro PC. The installer hangs even if I use the offline installer.

I have uninstalled the previous version.
I have check for any spyware issues with super anti spyware and MBAM also Norton Power Eraser

It may be totally unrelated but I also cannot install Adobe Xi either.

I am having no other issues with this PC

Probably it's some program control mechanism, did you see if a firewall is holding up the installation?

I briefly turned off the firewall for the network and the websites then downloaded fully. Turning off the firewall on the local machine makes no difference.

Network firewall turned out to be the issue. I think the firmware was corrupted in some way. Even reinstalling windows on the PC didn't fix the issue so it was an issue between the PC MAC and the firewall. Swapped out the firewall and problem solved. The firewall was EOL (RV042) so I dint update the firmware
