Hi,

We have installed Search Server as our sharepoint intranet server because we want to index folders on our network.

I have setup the server and have created the content sources, have index and crawled to pdfs and the sources have documents. I then created 2 scopes one for the intranet's local content and one for the folder that we are indexing.

Where I am stuck is when I go back to sharepoint to search setting to enable the custom scope it asks for a url but I'm not sure what that would be and I am stuck as how to get those scopes to appear in the dropdown as only This Site: appears.

Any suggestions welcomed as to where I need to go next.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply had a project that sidetracked us and only just got back onto this...

I was already following the document that you posted and was stuck at the scoping point.

In the end it turned out that the custom url scope was /_layouts/OSSSearchResults.aspx/Results.aspx for anyone searching for an answer.

I could not find any info anywhere on the internet about this address so just posting for anyone who has the same problem and comes across this in a search

Thanks
