Hi
I have an issue where some PDF reports are not appearing on iphone/Ipad but the users can see them on their Lotus Clients on their PC's and Laptops.

I'm not sure where to start with this, the users PC's Laptops are all windows 7, Domino is version 8.5.3 , and the Iphones are all iphone 5 on IOS 7.0.3

Any help would be appreciated

How are the PDFs generated?
What PDF format are they supposed to conform with?
I assume that the iPhones can open most PDFs - what app are you using to view the PDFs?

If you open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat on a PC and Get Info to see what format/standard it is using.  Compare this with a PDF that the iPhones CAN open and view

Do the PDF files arrive on the iPad? Assuming they do not, what software should do the transfer?

Hi
They are in adobe format , when looking at your inbox in Lotus Notes the emails with attachments that you cannot open on your mobile device do not have the 'paperclip' symbol to indicate there is an attachment, however when you open the email there is a PDF attached to it. (see pictures)

That is very strange, I'm afraid I cannot offer any advice on Lotus Notes as I don't use it.

Are you using a Lotus Notes app for iOS?  Might be worth opening a support ticket with them.

Hi
The PDF files that are 'missing' do not arrive on the ipad, just the email with nothing attached,
we use the 'traveler' profile for Lotus notes , not an 'app' as such

I have also opened a ticket with IBM and will update should I get a response in the next few days (they take a while)
thanks

Hi
Do you sync through traveler? then it might be a policy. If the pdf is too large it might be blocked. default is around 4000KB

If preview does not handle the PDF you can always install Adobe reader or firefox+pdf.js

If Traveler, which version? Otherwise, what application do you use to read mails on the iPad?

If there isn't a policy, why not create one?

"Email Attachments: Check to enable attachments to synchronize with the device."
