Universal HP 64bit drivers corrupting on 2008 R2 print server

Please help, print server is 2008 R2, the drivers appear to be corrupting and its almost always the universal HP 64bit drivers that are corrupting.

1.      We are having to re-add the drivers to the printers as they are becoming corrupt. Printing garbage, or losing the ability to print in colour.
Once we replace the driver the printer prints properly again.

2.      I am redoing printer drivers about 3-5 times a week, sometimes it’s the same printers.

3.      I am unable to remove old printers from the print server as myself or as the administrator.

4.      There appears to be common event errors in the log, I’ve attached the event errors that repeat themselves, They always come up together. Primo PDF, Adobe PDF Converter, Snagit and One Note.

Those errors only signify that a client PC has those printers installed and the server was unable to enumerate the.  They're very common and can be ignored.
HP got sloppy a few years ago and several models have DLL's with the same name; but, not functionality.  I'll bet someone is logging on with an HP Officejet/Deskjet/Photosmart printer which then replaces one of the universal's DLL files.  Check the Windows\System32 folder, locate the HP files, get their versions and dates.  The next time it stops working, I'll bet one of them will have changed.
