Hi, does anyone know if there is a plugin or a way to hide various menu tabs on the left hand side wordpress menu.

Some plugins install their own tabs and i would like to be able to hide some of these and maybe the settings tab.

Or is there a file that can be edited to hide these, thanks in advance...

You can delve into the hooks and filters to gain more control over the backend but that's going to be a long/steep learning curve.

There are plugins that will do it:
