Dear Experts

After installing some additonal licenses to my Backup Exec server, I'm not able to preform inventories or quick erase tapes which causes issues for me since I'm not able to run backups on freshly inserted tapes.. does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Things I can't do:
- Run quick erases
- Run inventories (from backup exec)

Things I can do:
- Run backups on already imported tapes.
- Catalog media

So I guess there's nothing wrong with the tape library which I thought was the issue.

I've tried things I've seen in different forums:
- pause and unpause tape library
- completely redo all my job setups.
- repair the backup exec db

Is my only option a complete reinstallation?

Hi Mahesh,

I ended up doing a complete database restore which seems to have fixed the problem.
Thank you for your help but I was in a hurry and that was the only thing that seemed to fix the problem (after redoing all settings/jobs).
