disabling AjaxFileUpload

I searched everywhere and no luck. Is it possible to disable AjaxFileUpload.  I use the ajaxUpload1_OnUploadComplete event.  I let user upload file and I attached username in front of the file at upload time.  However if user goes direct to upload I want to disable it when no username entered.  enable = false on ajaxUpload1 does not do anything.  If I start it invisible and turn it on after user name is entered, it does not work, because it is not recognized since it started out invisible.

So anyway I can disable this component and yet leave it on screen?

Instead of setting visible to false, which would not render the control at all, hide it using CSS i.e. display:none

Do I apply CSS on the control itself? Ajaxupload seems to be composed of several components.  If I disable, it still lets me drag files into it's box and the botton does still function.  Thats why I was trying to make it invisible.  But is there an example of How I would apply display:non and turn it back on at run time.

Do you drag it as a single control to your form?

You can also put it in a panel control and then set that to display:none
