How to you set up Port Forwarding for Actiontec to work with Synology D412+

Synology has never come up with scripts to enable port forwarding on the verision fios actiontec router.  How to I set up secure port forwarding for a Synology D412+ to work with a Verision Fion Actiontec router MI424WR-GEN2

I do not understand what Synology has to do with port forwarding on a router.

What services from the DiskStation do you want available from the Internet?
Depending on that, we can advise on what ports you need to forward on your router.
