Office 365 on a server

Can I run office 365 instead of volume licencing on a server ?
EG.
I have a server with 5 Remote desktop licences. Can I use my office 365 subscription instead of purchasing Volume licences. ?

Thanks

Two very contradicting articles:

They say yes:

These guys say no:

Neither of them an official source. I would say that if you can't find a Microsoft website on it I would say no. Of course, you may also want to ask the Microsoft Partner that handles your Office365 / Volume Licensing.
