Remote control over Hyper V

Hello Experts

I am new in Hyper V and I would like to ask some guideline questions:
What is the best way to manage a Hyper V server? Do I install the remote management tools? Or do I use VMM?
More importantly – if my Hyper V server is WORKGROUP and not part of any domain – can I remote control it using the tools below from a remote PC which is part of a domain (on the same network I mean…)?

RDP is the best way to directly connect to server if you have one or two servers without clusters.

You can use Hyper-V console from other server with RSAT tools to manage Hyper-V Server if you have multiple standalone hyper-V servers

You may not able to add workgroup hyper-v server through domain joined server console.
But You can add workgroup Hyper-V servers to VMM console.

If you want to manage Hyper-V clusters, P2V, live migration, automate VM creation through templates at a time then you must use VMM to manage Hyper-V
