Hi
One of my client's users is running XP on a old Lenovo desktop using a french USB azerty keyboard.
I installed Thunderbird on her PC last week and now when she hits the caret (^) key the computer screen prints double carets (^^) - whatever the active application
The normal result would be that the computer displays nothing but awaits the following character upon which to apply the caret, what is known in french as the 'circonflex' accent.
If I 'shift' this same key I obtain double 'trema' accents (two dots)
I loaded the virtual keyboard layout (accessibility accessories) and the caret again, when selected, appears twice on the screen
I booted in safemode and the same key works as expected, without producing the double caret.
Apparently this is the only key that produces this behaviour
Any ideas ?
thanks
