Hi

I want to create a InfoPath 2010 form, where if I pass the values in one cell , then rest other cells values get auto populated.

Now if I change the values of any cell the new values should get updated in the list against the existing row data in same list. its kind of updating existing row/item values using InfoPath forms.

Unfortunately with Standard List Forms you can only update 1 row at a time and bulk updates are not possible.

You may be able to do a bulk update with a CAML and some customization, but I am not sure.

www.infopathdev.com may have some information on this.

That is straight forward, create a button with a rule or put the rule on the first field to be changed than create actions to set the other fields.
once done save the form

The best is to just create a test form and experiment with some simple rule actions.

the InfoPath blog for Microsoft
www.infopathdev.com

pretty much any tutorial will provide examples of set field actions

I thought I'd write this up for anyone who has a request to create an anonymous whistle-blower-type submission form created using SharePoint 2010 (this would probably work the same for 2013). It's not 100% fool-proof but it's as close as you can get…
