Difference between sharing Calendar and Granting permissions.

I would like to know the difference between going to the properties of your calendar/Permissions and give the Default user Reviewer permission , and share your calendar and select Full Details and send the invite to another user.

Thank you

Check below article for different options with Sharing option:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/share-an-outlook-calendar-with-other-people-HA010354420.aspx

if you select Share -> Email -> Full Details -> then recipient will get your calendar details in email Body, your calendar as an attachment which they can add to their outlook for side by side view with their calendar

Giving calendar permission will give permissions directly on calendar itself

By going to the properties of your calendar/Permissions and give the Default user Reviewer permission, any Exchange user still can add your calendar to their outlook and have the same thing as Sharing your Calendar and email it to the end user.
