Inside of a shape, I have several paragraphs of text which I'd like to break up into two columns.  Any way of doing that?

How about using a text box?

I don't know of a way to accomplish two-column text without adding  a text box. In the example below, I used the text tool to move the right margin of the shape's built-in text box to the left so the box occupies the left half of the shape. Then I used the text tool to create a new text box the right half of the shape. textNote: The new text box and original shape are not connected unless you group them. Also the text won't flow automatically from the box on the left to the box on the right without adding some text processing formulas to the ShapeSheets on each shape.
