c# class & vb .net app

I have a situation, here:
I have a c# class dll with
public functions FA, FB and FC and propertiesPA and PB.
On the other hand i've a Vb.Net app than get/set those properties and call those methods.
I need that the execution of those methods run in the background and the vb form mantains the control, workingvin other stuff. When the dll function finish must notify the result of the proccess (supouse rising an event in vb app)
The question, how is the appropiate code for this in both sides if is it possible
