Hello,

I am looking at trying to create an excel worksheet in a windows form, where the data would be populated by selection critieria in the windows form drop downs etc and of course format the data appropriately.

From what I can see there is no native excel contanier control that I can put into a C# windows, is that correct? Is there anyway that this can be done? Programatically or 3rd part add-in?

You want to see it on the screen or do you just want to generate the file that can be opened later?

I want I am trying to do is show a an excel worksheet or workbook in a windows form. I would like the user to select options from a drop down in C# which will make a call to a DB and repopulate the data in the worksheet, then able to control the style and formatting from C# and possibly incorporate other robust functionality with in the .net framework.

The reason that I am looking at this as a possible option is that the excel work book (2003) that is being built is turing into an application and the user requests are growing. I want to look at using something more robust .net 4.0 with VS2010 to turn into into an application but I need the spreadsheet look and feel since it is financial data.
Hope that makes sense.
