I was getting a message of space warning on one of my data store in Vsphere 5.5.I migrate the vm to another data store and deleted the file from browsing the data store.But still i did not get the free space.

Sometimes, free space is not freed up immediately, and on some SANs needs to be reclaimed.

Can you upload a screenshot, and check via the console or remotely via ssh?

Has the storage now appeard, or Alarm reset?

now still there is no space free.
One starnge thing that still in the data store there is file named "abc" but i have deleted this vm.should i remove this from the data store  folder  also.because when i click on this folder it shows no files as i have deleted this vm.

i have multiple folders in Data store when i browse.Is there any way that can i know that this folder belongs to which virtual machine

Edit the VM Settings, and inspect the disk
