Responsive jQuery FlexSlider

I'm working on a site and I adjusted the original FlexSlider height from 680px to 400px. I did this by just making the slider images smaller and then moving the navigation radial buttons, located on the bottom of the slider, up into the right position thru the css. What's happening now is when the browser is at any size less than 960px, the FlexSlider completely disappears. I'm thinking that there must be code somewhere that's actually controlling the height (ratio) and my little "quick fix" didn't really fix my problem.  Can anyone help me fix this? Please provide as much info as possible when explaining because I'm pretty much a novice when working with jQuery code.  Thanks!

Slider used: WooThemes FlexSlider (WooThemes FlexSlider Site)
