Hi People,

May I know if I initialize the Exchange 2007 CCR Mailbox cluster failover from the Exchange Management Console, do I need to do anything on the MSCS Cluster Failover Administration console ?

I was under the impression that when the Exchange mailbox is failed over to second node, the underlying MSCS Quorum is not failed over.

Can anyone please clarify to me about this matter ?

Thanks

Hello,

You are correct that the cluster itself (quorum) doesn't fail over. If you want to fail that over you would open a command prompt and type:

Cluster.exe group "Cluster Group" /move:PassiveNodeName

This step really isn't necessary though.

Ah ok, but when I shutdown the passive. Node and the quorum is held by the passive node, then what happened ?

It will automatically move to the other node.
