Iphone / mail problem

Hello  I have an iphone 4 IOS 7, and a POP3 mail account in it.

I have deleted some mails  from inbox and from deleted folder. but in the deleted folder button appear a number 383, but when I come in in the deleted folder I can't see all the deleted mails.

What's means that number?
Can I recover this deleted mails?

Hello
It's better to access your account via a PC or MAC and a Web browser, clean your mailbox as you wish and recreate the account in your iphone

Hello May be I did't explain, sorry.

I want to recover the deleted mails...

In the web server don't appear the deleted mails.

Unfortunately this cannot be done via iPhone.
Except if you have your mailbox also configured in a Outlook or a similar email client software
