Dear All,

In our organization Windows server 2012 is installed. Domain is also configured.  Some client computers after connecting to the domain does not appear in computers folder in active directory users & computers & also some of the discovered computers are pinging & some are not pinging. Firewall is turned off in all the computers .Even I disabled  antivirus for testing purpose . but the problem is the same.
Please suggest what I have to do to discover the connected computers & some of the computers that has been discovered is not pinging .

All client computers OS is Windows 7 Professional.

Regards,

JCT

Sounds like quite a low level network issue to me.

Few things to check - in order

Check Network connections to Switch - especially if there may be VLans or something similar set up

Check DHCP Server is assigning addresses correctly for PCs

You say the machines have been connected to the domain. Have you actually joined the domain as if you have and this was successful, the machines will be showing in AD.  Try searching for the machine name in AD Users and Computers
