Concord phone  - save voicemail&text

i am going to discontinue this phone and move to a different carrier
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Walmart-Family-Mobile-Concord-Smartphone/21293391

is there an easy way to move the voicemails/text messages to a safe place to retreive it later in the new phone/carrier?

moving from tmobile to verizon. (same # will be ported)

thanks for any info/tip

Speaking from a European perspective ....

Voice messages are stored with your carrier and will disappear when you terminate the service or port the cell number to a new carrier. If they are important, use some type of memo recorder when replaying the messages.

You should be able to forward the text message to another phone or number .... or use a second person's cell phone as an intermediate while switching carrier/phone.
