Android apps languages xml/Java?

Hi

I am a VB.net developer and want to develop Android apps using Java and Eclipse.
I clearly need to study various coding languages like xml and Java. I just need a
little advice on where to start and what to learn

Have you done the starter app?

After that I'd suggest if you really want to learn Android in depth I'd suggest enrolling in a free course like this:
https://www.coursera.org/course/android

which will walk you through the whole process and give you a solid basis.  You don't have to do the assignments unless you choose to - just watching the lectures and having a place to ask questions is a great opportunity to really learn a new skill.
