Shapesheet - How to delete a line.
I'm trying to delete the last line of the character section shown in the graphic.
When I right click, I'm not seeing "delete".

Hi BT,

The text stuff in the ShapeSheet is a bit odd. In the Character section, different lines appear whenever you change the formatting. So you can't add or remove lines in the ShapeSheet itself, because it is kind of meaningless without the context of the actual characters in the shape's text.

Notice the left-most column, which shows some numbers. Those are the character position at which the change in formatting starts, and continues until the formatting is changed again. You can't edit those number. Only selection of text in the drawing window, and subsequent formatting changes can change those numbers.

So yeah, it's a bit inconsistent and mysterious!

Hi Visioguy:
Yes it is mysterous and inconsistent.  And worthy of research.
Is there a MS site/email address I can forward this concern to?

Visio has a lot of other more pressing needs, in my opinion. The way it works makes sense to me, even if it is inconsistent. It's better to at least have the rows in the ShapeSheet than to have nothing at all.

I think the only thing that MS could consider doing is allowing you to actually set the character ranges with ShapeSheet formulas. That could possibly be useful. But adding and deleting rows as a feature by itself won't really bring much.
