exchange server with different MX record

I have an exchange 2010 server and the domain is pointed correctly with the @ record and MX records. i have 2 domains that are hosted here.

the primary domain which is the one i initially set it up with, i would like to change the MX records for that to point to another host.

would that cause any issues with the secondary domain i have hosted on the exchange server?

Thanks.

No, it wouldn't.

MX records are specific to a domain.
eg.  mydomain.local would have two mx records
MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.mydomain.local
MX preference = 20, mail exchanger = mail.yourdomain.local

and  yourdomain.local would have two mx records
MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.mydomain.local
MX preference = 20, mail exchanger = mail.yourdomain.local

both mx records are pointed to the same hosts.
chaning the mx records for yourdomain.local does not affect mydomain.local

yourdomain.com
MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.otherdomain.local
MX preference = 20, mail exchanger = mail.anotherdomain.local
