Update rollup 3 on Exchange SErver 2010 SP3

We have Exchange server 2010 SP3 and planning to install update rollup 3, so what would be the prerequisites before installation & impact after installation.

Open a command prompt with elevated rights (run as admin) and run the update from there.

All things are already mentioned in below article as this is new update, just released 1 week back) so issues may be seen lateron after sometime if any found.

IE11 OWA light issue is fixed in this update, which is not mentioned in above article


Its not supported on Windows Server 2012 R2

How do I do that  ?
Open a command prompt with elevated rights (run as admin) and run the update from there.

Below are some steps need to keep in mind before installing, so that installation goes smoothly.

1. Reboot the server prior to installing the update rollup and make sure it is in a know good state.

2. Run the update from an elevated command prompt (Yes open comand promt as admin and execute Rollup update from that).

3. In Internet Explorer, deselect “Check for Publisher’s certificate” and “Check for server certificate revocation”, from Internet Options, Advanced tab, Security options.

4. Disable antivirus software.

5. Have a full backup and a system state backup of the server.

After installation make sure to revert back all changes what you have done as above.

But I need to know how I can run msp file in command prompt.
