Server 2012 R2

I installed Server 2012 Standard but they gave me a  MLSVC license is for 2012 R2 and server 2012 will not accept the R2 license key.  Is there a way to get generate a key?  I thought there was a tab for backward compatibility but I do not see a tab.

You'd need to contact Microsoft Licensing
