Set-ResourceConfig -ResourcePropertySchema "Something"

I know that after running this command, then you go to  Resource General of the Resource mailbox, you can add Resource Custom Properties and you will see "Something" showing up.
However, I am not sure what is the purpose of adding Resource Custom Properties

Any idea?

Thank you

From technet:

Custom resource properties are features for room or equipment mailboxes. You can indicate that a resource has a specific feature by assigning the corresponding custom resource property to that resource mailbox.

I usually find this with more of a resource (equipment) mailboxes, so that the folks know exactly what is being taken out / utilized when they book that resource. Exchange does give you some default things, and also the option to sit there and type in your own resources assigned to the room / equipment resource mailbox. This is just the powershell way of doing it, versus doing it within the GUI interface.
