web requests

Hi experts,
If a native app makes a rest call to a server, it's possible to get its ip address.  Same for a rest call coming from within the browser on the same machine.  I sincerely doubt it, but is there some way to identify that these requests came from the same machine other than with ip address?

Thanks,
Mike
