FolderRedirections after SBS Migration not working

A couple weeks ago I did a SBS 2008 to SBS 2011 migration.  It all went pretty smoothly, but the RedirectedFolders stuff will not complete.

On the old server, some users used FolderRedirections to store My Docs and other things on the server.  The MS Doc on migration has some errors in how to migrate these folders, so it didn't happen.

I found a technote to recreate the share, I set in place a new GPO to put the files on the new server, yet all users folders continue to be empty, and changes to files are being saved on the old server (which  I need to shutdown in one week).

Any ideas how I can get this to go?  Anyone stumbled over this and you have the "secret answer", lol!

I would start by running a group policy result on the machines themselves - this will show you which Group Policy is applied with regards to redirected folders.

You could also switch off folder redirection on the old server to stop computers redirecting to that.

Also note that when you set redirected folders in the SBS console it does state that the setting may not take effect for a few reboots of the machines in question. Have the machines been rebooted a few times? Have you tried running a GPupdate on the machines?
