How do I center this slideshow?

I have a site here:

www.particletechlabs.com

This is a Joomla 3.2 site and I recently upgraded the Gantry framework to v4.1.20.

After I did this my slideshow was no longer centered on the homepage.

At first I thought this was a css issue but nothing I do in css will center the slideshow.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi, check how to alter #vt_nivo_slider110 margin-left value.

see how I altered it in FF inspector on the pic. adjust for proper value (make calculation: main colum size is ca.960px, slideshow width is 1197px, so theres 237px overflow, so set margin-left to -118px and you should be good...hopefully :)

Perfect!

Is this the same container that has the white background?

I'd like to add a background image so it is gray all the way thru.

also, when I do the margin-left the site now has a horizontal scroll bar.

Is there a way to fix this?

hmmm I guess this depends on the viewing resolution, I'm afraid.

try hiding overflow like described here, on the topmost level.

cheers, thanks for the points!

you may always try to change page inline with WebDeveloper toolkit (addon) for firefox or chrome to check what parameter does what.
